Abstract

In February 2024, year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation in Penajam Paser Utara Regency was 3,71 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.50.

Y-on-y inflation occurred due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 6.66 percent; housing, water, electricity and household fuel group at 2.72 percent; health group by 3.57 percent; transportation group by 3.30 percent; recreation, sports and culture group at 13.42 percent; food and beverage/restaurant provision group at 2,34 percent; and the personal care and other services group at 3.71 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure group indices experienced decrease, namely: clothing and footwear group by 0.53 percent; equipment, tools and routine household maintenance group at 3.89 percent; information, communication and financial services group at 0.50 percent.

The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate and year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate for Penajam Paser Utara Regency in February 2024 are 0.15 percent and 0,92 percent.
